Xbox 360 Repair Tips

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Machines tend to break down. That’s just how they are. They tear, waste, use, overheat, fail, etc. Microsoft’s second entry in the video game console industry, the Xbox 360, is no exception. And it’s also known for its hardware failures, the most common being the Xbox 360 three flashing red lights, also known as “the red ring of death.”

The primary cause of Xbox 360 failure is related to a design flaw in the launch version of the console which uses 90nm technology. Essentially, the Xbox has an inadequate cooling system which results in damage to the components. This damage leads to glitches and eventually the so called “red ring of death”. Don’t worry: Your Xbox Live Account and your Xbox 360 achievements are not broken. Luckily, later version with 65nm technology are not affected.

The Microsoft Xbox 360 console has several ways that tell technicians what the problem probably is. One is through the four green lights that are around the power button. When they change to red and flash, they are trying to tell you something. If there’s only 1 flashing red light, then your Xbox 360 is pretty much dead. If you see 2 red lights, it means your Xbox 360 overheated and you should turn it off for a while to let it cool.

If this happens often, you might want to get a fan accessory to help it ventilate. If there are on your Xbox 360 3 flashing red lights, it means that something is wrong with the hardware, but don’t worry. It can be fixed. Finally, 4 flashing red lights just mean that you didn’t connect your cables properly. The 4 lights won’t flash if you connected the Xbox 360 wifi in a wrong way.

And one can identify Red Ring of Death (RROD) problem with their Xbox if they find any of following problem with their console:

* Disc Error problems
* Xbox freezing problem
* Abnormal sound from your Xbox
* Unable to play your Xbox

Once your Xbox breaks down you are left with very few options. Microsoft states that the average wait time for a repair is 4-6 weeks and that the cost of the repair would be $140. That’s in addition to shipping and handling charges! Another option will have you up and running again in less than an hour. This involves purchasing a do-it-yourself repair guide online. The top repair guides are very impressive and cost less than $30. These repair guides will focus on the how to fix your red ring problem and how to make sure it does not happen again.

The easiest way to do an Xbox 360 red ring fix is to prevent the problem from happening at all. If you bought your Xbox 360 within a few months after launch day, do yourself a favor and buy the fan. Also, never, ever place your Xbox (or any other electronic device) next to a heat source. Some people tend to cram all their devices together, TV, DVD player, CD player, VCR, Xbox 360, Playstation, Nintendo Gamecube, etc., which causes them to heat each other. Always leave some space between your Xbox and everything else. This will not only keep it from receiving heat from other devices, but it will also keep the ventilation holes open and with plenty of space to operate.

It’s also a good idea to clean the back of your Xbox 360 from time to time. Just brush off with a dry cloth all the dust and dirt that accumulates in the back of it. It will not only prevent the red light problem, but it will lengthen the life of your Xbox 360.

Groom Wedding Speech

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

The eagerly awaited marriage ceremonial service has ended and the reception celebration has started. Before long, as the bridegroom, you will have to stand up and give a groom wedding speech that will be sincere as well as entertaining and fascinating to hear. How you go about organizing your words is important as you’ll have to keep everyone pleased including your groom, her parents, your mother and father, and all your guests and wedding attendants. If you have done all required of you by the book, you shoul have already had the opportunity to get some rehearsal in when you rendered that brilliant dry run dinner speech, something bridegrooms are traditionally supposed to do.

Your turn to talk is generally after both parents and step-parents, if any, have spoken and before the best man wedding speech. While there are factors that are thought to be the fundamental principles for the bridegroom wedding speech, you can put your personal twist or impact on them to make it extraordinary. First, thank your mother and father for all their support, guidance, and love and support they’ve provided you up to this point. Then it’s time to thank the bride’s mother and father for giving you their special daughter and right away after that, you should turn to your groom, salute her, and speak about matters like how you met up, why you recognized she was the one, then drink to her for hooking up with you, and any other thing you feel is important to mention about her, that you are aware your invitees will be delighted to hear, especially her parents and family.

After you have raised your glass to your groom, thank all your guests, the best man, the bride’s attendants, and all the other individuals who assisted to make your wedding day unforgettable. If there are particular individuals, like maybe your new sister-in-law who produced all the wedding favors, remember to thank her in particular. It is very helpful to produce a list of the people you wish to thank during your address, so you don’t leave anyone out. You don’t have to actually compose an address, but you’ll in all likelihood be a trifle uneasy so penning names on index cards is entirely acceptable for ease in remembering everybody during your bridegroom wedding speech.

The length of your speech doesn’t have to be long as there will be other people who will want to toast both of you and say a few words. The manner of your speech should not be one thank you after another because it will bore people. When giving thanks to people, such as her mom and dad, thank them, but incorporate something else in your thanks like, “Tom and Sally were so accommodating and supportive through the wedding planning stage - something I am so grateful for for.” Articulating one or two lines to the person or individuals you are thanking other than just the “thank you” will guarantee a good bridegroom wedding speech. Lastly, a few brides choose not to talk at the wedding as it is not traditionally required. If your bride doesn’t wish to talk, when you do thank people, make sure you use the word we as opposed to I, when giving thanks to everybody. Your groom wedding speech can be ideal, familiar, and responsive if you maintain these suggestions in mind when preparing your speech.

A Silvery New Years Eve

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

I love New Year’s because I don’t get to dress up that often, and this is one of the days where I’ll get to do that. A New Year’s Eve dress is practically a must! Don’t you want to reward yourself for a year well spent by wearing a teen fashion dress you’ll remember always? I certainly do.

A running theme for New Year’s Eve has always been silver white-ish colors which I found out on realy fun websites for kids, so why not stick to the old tradition with these fabulous silver-grey finds.

I found this silver dress at Target for $31.99. It’s strapless, so you’ll want to wear a sweater over it and find some new hairstyles for fine hair. But I like it because it just screams New Year! Tights would look cute under this dress in basically any color you like. You could even try some cool printed tights for a real bold look.

This dress is for a more casual New Year party. The ruffle at the top is what makes the dress great, and at $24.50 from Old Navy, the price is great too. I would wear this little fella over a pair of skinny pants with some long silvery chain necklaces. You could also wear a long sleeved shirt underneath it if you’re cold. That’s what’s so excellent about spaghetti strapped dresses!

This dress is probably my favorite out of them all. It hales from Forever 21 and quenches every need for a New Year’s Eve dress. First of all, it has long sleeves. So the trouble of finding a good sweater to go over your dress is absolutely gone! Secondly, it has the hue I need, and thirdly there’s a whimsical ruffled front that keeps it stylish. What more do we need? The ruffled edges at the cuffs are also a great touch. Wear it with sparkly tights and some slouchy boots, and you’re off to a great start this New Year.
