Protect Your Loved Ones In A Will

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

If you don’t construct a last will and testament, then who concludes who receives what? It wont proceed how you would have preferred. To ensure your wishes are fulfilled, you need to draw up a last will and testament.

Should you die without creating a will it’s the crown that decides how your estate is distributed. The intestacy laws are used and it could not be what you will have expected or wanted.

If you are currently married or have a civil partner but no children and your estate is worth a specific figure or less then your partner would receive the entirety of the assets including any life insurance cover . If the estate is valued above this threshold and you have existing relatives, your partner would still receive this amount, plus half of the surplus. There exists an order in which family will inherit, with existing parents being at the start of the list, followed by brothers and sisters and so on.

Should you have a civil partner and offspring then your spouse would gain the specific amount as above and half of the excess. The descendants will receive 50% of the total over the threshold immediately and the other 50% on the death of your spouse.

Should you have offspring but no lawful partner, then your offspring would divide the estate. This may not be at all what you would have hoped. You might have a companion who depends on you and who you might have wanted to inherit at least part of your property, who’d receive nothing.

To avoid all potential apprehension about your estate, regardless of how basic it may appear, it would be wise to make a will. There are several options for this. You may make it yourself or hire a trained will agent or a solicitor.

Many people build their own will, mostly using a template which can obtain from stationers. Caution is advised should you proceed down this path – it’s surprisingly easy to make a mistake and you could even make it void. The expense of having a will drawn up, particularly a relatively basic one, is not excessive and you can be definite that your wishes will be realised.

A trained will company or a solicitor will be used to dealing with all forms of questions and will be able to aid you. There could be enquiries regarding setting up trust funds and perhaps taxes.
Now you’ve made your last will and testament, it’s a good idea to reassess it from time to time, as your situation changes. If you resolve to amend it, then it’s prudent to nullify your existing one and have it remade. If the amendments are minor, it might be easier to make a codicil to make a part of the last will and testament and to be used in association with it. Any codicil will have to be written in the same method as the will in regards to signatures and witnesses.

Please be aware that any health insurance will terminate on the death of the will holder and no value will be attributed to It in the will.

Triathlon

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Let me tell you a little bit about a sport unlike any other. Let me tell you about a sport that is in a category all by itself. Let me tell you about a sport with unappreciated challenges. Let me tell you why it’s not for sissies.

I’d like to talk a little about the sport of triathlon, and why it is the best. First it is made up of three sports in one. To be the best it isn’t good enough to be just a good runner, or a good, cyclist, or a good swimmer. In fact good in any of these categories is simply not good enough for anything but second place, and second in my opinion is just the first looser.

In most triathlons the order is as follows swim, bike, run. I would imagine that you swim first because race organizers and directors wouldn’t want you to drown from fatigue if it were in any other order. However, I have seen it in different order before.

There are a few different types of triathlon. Let me begin with the sprint distance. This is generally about a 300 to 500 meter swim, followed by a 13 to 18 mile bike ride, wrapped up with about a 5k run. Next is the Olympic international distance triathlon. This is a bit longer and tougher. It starts with a mile swim, not a walk in the park some people can’t even make it passed the swim. Then you transition to a 25 to 30 mile bike ride. Don’t misunderstand though; this is no casual ride through your neighborhood. Competitive speeds for top level athletes average 20 plus miles per hour. Then from the bike you make your way to the 10k run to the finish. Last and certainly not least is the grueling ironman. First you begin with an unparalleled swim of 2.4 miles. Then if you’re still standing upright make your way over to the 112 mile bike portion, which is just as long as some of the Tour De France stages, need I say more. Cap this bad boy off with a marathon distance run of 26 miles 385 yards and you’ve done it.

So, what do you think are you up for the challenge?

The Real Definition Of Minisite Design

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Minisite design: do you know what that means? Or have you ever heard of the term minisite design? Well, minisite design is basically just a simple and static HTML design for your product sales letter or squeeze page.Typically the only people who know about minisite design is Internet marketers. People outside the world of Internet marketing most likely do not know what it means. If you don’t believe me, I challenge you to ask your friends about minisite design and I can bet that they don’t know anything about it.

Sometimes people argue that you don’t need a good-looking minisite design in order to sell your product or service. They will say that you can simply use a standard HTML without any design at all. But think about it, when visitors land on your page and you’re selling them your product or service, do you expect them to believe you when you don’t even have a decent design that goes with the sales letter? I wouldn’t believe and I strongly believe you agree with me on this point.

The same thing goes for squeeze page with an ultimate footer ad. Having a professionally designed, nice looking squeeze page will increase your credibility, thereby increasing your opt-in rate. This alone is worth many times over the price of getting a minisite design done. It’s really a pity if you say to yourself “I want to get more traffic to my website” when your minisite design is really bad.

You might say to yourself “Hmm why don’t I design the minister myself?” My advice is NO do not do it yourself. This is especially true if you don’t know a thing about graphic design. Why? I’ll give you three reasons why. The first one is that your design is most likely very poor in quality. The second reason is that you’d spent a lot of time trying to learn how to design and the final output (your design) will still be very poor anyway. You’d be a lot better spending your time to do stuff that you’re good at. The third reason is that hiring a professional minisite designer will save you both time and money, and the design will be tens, if not hundreds, of times better than your design.
